Hanover’s sky will be buzzing with planes Sunday as the Saugeen Municipal Airport hosts the annual Canadian Owners and Pilots Association Safety Seminar.
About 400 pilots from across Ontario are expected to attend todays event.
The day begins with a fly-in breakfast followed by two safety seminars as well as commercial displays.
The first session is offered by Transport Canada inspector Audra Oakes and the second features Seneca College instructor Joe Thompson.
Organizer Phil Englishman says today is all about getting pilots ready for a new flying season.
Thats why the event has been affectionately dubbed by pilots as the Rust Remover seminar.
As an added bonus and weather permitting the Canadian War Plane Museum will have a World War II Harvard Trainer on display.
Those who purchase a membership will be given a free ride.
Englishman says todays event is not limited to pilots or those in the aviation field.
He encourages the public to come out, grab a bite to eat at the restaurant and take in the displays.
There is no charge for the event.
