Earth Week is being recognized in Kincardine through a series of lectures and movies this week at the library.
Tonight the focus is on water and the responsible use of it and touch on how important clean air is.
Then on Thursday — the presentation will focus on fire – and the public’s perceptions of radiation.
All presentations are free and open to anyone thanks to the Kincardine Environmental Advisory Committee.
Meanwhile – the municipality encourages everyone to take part in Thursday’s Earth Day Neighbourhood Clean up Challenge.
Officials hope schools and businesses will pitch in and clean up their surroundings.
Eco-friendly prizes will be awarded – and details can be obtained through the Kincardine Library.
