The numbers are in following this year’s daffodil fundraiser in Bruce and Grey for the Cancer Society.
Bluewater Unit Fundraising Coordinator Jennifer Wright admits numbers are down from last year by about five thousand dollars, but is still proud of an incredible campaign.
She say across the two counties, 55 thousand dollars was raised.
Wright says they sold more than fifteen hundred daffodil pins this year – along with bunches of fresh blooms.
The daffodil sale is a major fundraiser for the cancer society.
Money raised benefits things like transportation for volunteer drivers – peer support programming and research funding.
