The west side of Owen Sound – down by the harbour – has changed over the years.
Now an exhibit celebrating the change of the landscape is opening at the Owen Sound Marine and Rail Museum.
Mindy Gill – Owen Sound Museums Curator of Collections says this exhibit will be a new permanant exhibit.
Gill says the exhibit will look at the evolution of the area from the home of the Owen Sound Dry Dock – to furniture factories to what it stands as now – a very picturesque harbourfront.
Gill says they have used a lot of the museums artifacts and articles that were already on hand to put together this exhibit and she feels its very accurate and interesting for anyone interested in the history of Grey County.
Gill says she hopes people take away a sense of appreciation for the landscape of Owen Sound.
The official opening is tonight from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM at the Owen Sound Marine and Rail Museum.
