The Town of South Bruce Peninsula Council has a problem with an online blogger.
Council unanimously voted in favour of a motion to notify the OPP and the Ontario Ombudsman of a breech of confidentiality at last nights meeting.
This comes after a letter regarding personal information about the towns old recreation programmer was posted in an online blog.
The blog called Bruce on the Bruce has been writing about South Bruce Peninsula Council among other things, for the last 4 months.
Mayor Gwen Gilbert says it is a big concern because there is a document on the website that hasnt even come to council yet.
The document posted is a letter from the towns previous recreation programmer, Mike Squier to CAO/ Clerk Rhonda Cook.
In the document Squier states the reasons why he recently resigned from his position.
Councillor Mark Wunderlich says the issue needs to be addressed immediately and firmly.
Wunderlich says no one on council knows who the blogger is but adds it is really pathetic.
During the meeting he announced to the public members of the meeting speak your name loser Identify yourself.
Wunderlich says involving the OPP is a step in the right direction because this is a very serious issue.
Mike Squier was hired as the towns recreation programmer just over a year ago and he resigned last month.
