A plan for a 15 acre business park on Owen Sounds’ east side will be discussed at a public meeting tonight at city hall.
Businessman Peter Van Dolder has submitted a plan to city hall for a 15 lot subdivision on land that includes the Van Dolder Home Team Custom Exteriors store.
Parcels of land will be subdivided to create the business park.
Van Dolder says there is already city water and sewers to the site… with extensions installed in 2008 when the Home Team store was built.
Peter Van Dolder doesn’t expect any objections will be filed, and he is hoping to get a green light for the project at Monday’s council meeting.
Van Dolder says it will likely be 2011 before any businesses actually locate to the new business park.
It is the latest proposal for new development along highway 26 at the edge of Owen Sound.
Two other companies are planning on shopping complexes east of Home Depot.
