Collingwood is about to become a college town.
Georgian College has received four million dollars from a federal building fund, to build a bricks and mortar facility for students.
There’s no official announcement about its location yet, although it’s widely speculated to be going into an industrial area in the south end of town.
Georgian College’s Vice President of Administration Brandon Lander says speculation about the location of the school isn’t far off.
Collingwood Mayor Chris Carrier says the college campus has been a long time coming, after years of talks about where such a facility might go.
