You can view the plans tonight for the new Alexandra Community School in Owen Sound.
There is an open house at 6 PM at the school on 8th Avenue East.
The Bluewater public school board wants to build a 5.2 million dollar facility that will be one storey and accommodate about 260 students from J-K to Grade 8.
The 27 thousand square foot building — which will be totally accessible — will be built on the same property.
The old school — which dates back to 1924 — will then be demolished.
Ideally, the Bluewater board wants to begin construction this spring and have it open in the fall of 2011.
