The same weather trends we have seen in the past few months continued in March.
Province-wide temperatures were above normal and total precipitation amounts were lower than normal for most locations.
March was warmest in 10 years at many locations in Ontario.
The mean temperature in Wiarton was 1.5 celcius, nearly 4 degrees above normal.
Toronto had a mean temperature of 4.3 or nearly 5 degrees above normal for the month.
Many locations received no snow or only trace amounts of snowfall during the month.
There was only a trace of snow recorded at Wiarton airport last month.
The normal amount is 46 centimetres.
Meanwhile , Toronto, Ottawa and London all recorded NO snowfall in March.
The low snowfall amounts shattered records dating as far back as 1898.
As far as rainfall goes..
Wiarton recorded 8.4 mms of rain which was 28 mms below normal.
It was the driest in 11 years.
Meanwhile by contrast, Hamilton received 96 mms of rain in March which was double the normal amount.
