The Durham Activity Centre is open again.
West Grey officials held a re-opening ribbon cutting on Monday to celebrate the new facility.
The Durham Activity Centre was destroyed by last August’s tornado.
It cost over 501 thousand dollars to rebuild the facility.
It also cost another 150 thousand dollars to cover new workout equipment for the facility — which includes fully matted floors, windows for natural light and a sauna.
West Grey used its insurance money to cover most of the costs.
West Grey Mayor Kevin Eccles says the members at the Activity Centre are just glad to be home.
Eccles also wants to thank neighbouring centres for allowing members to attend at their workout centres.
The activity centre first opened its doors in 1998 as a partnership with the town of Durham.
