Saugeen Shores police are crediting its K9 unit for locating a person who went missing during the early morning hours of March 17th.
Police say they were looking for a 52 year old female who was suffering from recent health issues.
Police Dog Agro was brought into the area and picked up the scent eventually locating the person in a narrow space between two buildings.
Police say the person was disoriented and taken to Saugeen Memorial Hospital in Southampton for treatment.
Police say there is little doubt that the K9 unit brought a potentially dangerous situation to a successful conclusion considering the medical problems, inadequate cold weather clothing and cold overnight temperatures.
