If you feel like kicking up your heels and helping a worthy cause at the same time — you will want to be at the Durham legion tonight.
A benefit dance is being held for local Easter Seals child Natalie McDonald.
There’s a time to give and a time to receive, and for 10 year old Natalie McDonald and her family the time to receive is now.
After raising over 50 thousand dollars for Easter Seals and Spinal Muscular Atrophy — the McDonald family is in need of 25 thousand dollars to modify a van to accommodate Natalie and her wheel chair.
Natalie has outgrown the current family van which her father had modified for her.
A properly equipped van is a must for Natalie who relies on this mode of transportation to get her to her many medical appointments in London.
Her parents are on the hunt for a replacement van , the modifications alone will cost 25 thousand dollars.
Tonight’s benefit dance at the Durham legion includes a silent and a live auction.
Doors open at 8 PM and tickets are 12 dollars at the door.
Natalie invites everyone to come out promising a night of fun for all.
Natalie suffers from spinal muscular atrophy, the grade five student is from West Grey and attends Hanover Heights School.
