The government of Ontario is helping give the local economy a boost.
The McGuinty government is providing 100 thousand dollars to Pine River Cheese and Butter Co-operative in Ripley.
The money will be used to buy new state of the art equipment to process cheese trimmings.
A new line of healthy snacks will also be developed.
The funding will create three new jobs at Pine River, as well as increase demand for milk, benefiting local dairy farmers.
Huron Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell says the government is proud to support local food processors and help them succeed.
