Its a big milestone in the Hanover Regional Recreation Complex construction project.
Excavation begins this week on the arena floor.
Recreation Facilities Manager Dale Steinoff says this is the most important component of the entire project.
He says a quality arena floor and refrigeration system will ensure quality ice and a quality facility.
Its going to take a month for the arena floor project to be complete.
Meanwhile about 60 percent of the 8.8 million dollar build project is complete and the project remains on schedule for an August 1st opening.
Most of the exterior work is complete however there is still a considerable amount of architectural blocks still to be installed as well as a number of glass windows.
