Two Wasaga Beach firefighters are being hailed as heroes.
Reno Levesque and Jason Bavelaar were off duty when they noticed a fire at a home on River Road West on Wednesday.
They both rushed into the smoke filled home without any protective gear on and pulled a man out just in time.
Fire Chief Michael McWilliam says the men did the right thing and they are heroes.
He says he intends to put their names forward for commendations.
Chief McWilliam says has heard the man who was rescued is in good condition in the hospital.
He adds the investigation is ongoing and no cause has been determined yet.
