No doubt when the Big Dig takes place in Chesley this spring into summer – business will be interrupted.
All concerns about the impact – will be addressed at a special public meeting tonight at the Chesley Community Centre.
The 2.97 million dollar project includes new asphalt, concrete curbs, sidewalks, decorative street lighting, sanitary and storm sewers, watermains and tree plantings.
During construction the business section will be closed to traffic from the bridge to 4th Street South West and East April through July.
Mid July to August 15th, the second section will be reconstructed and closed from 4th Street South West and East to 7th Street South West.
Traffic signs will be in place to redirect motorists to side streets and parking.
Tonight’s meeting gets underway at 7 PM.
