Hanover is developing its first strategic plan ever.
Mayor Kathi Maskell calls it an important step saying the strategic plan will provide Hanover with a long term vision of where it wants to go in the future.
The strategic plan will not only map out Hanovers goals but it will also include a strong focus on commercial and residential development as well as recreational opportunities.
A Request for Proposals has gone out and Hanover hopes to award the job to a consulting firm in April.
The town has set aside 25 thousand dollars for the project, Maskell calls it a smart investment in Hanovers future.
She adds there will be plenty of opportunity for public input during the strategic planning process.
It’s expected to take about six months to complete the strategic plan.
