Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller has been re-elected as Chair of the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food.
Miller was supported by colleagues who decided to vote him back into the position.
Miller thanked his colleagues for their support, and also congratulates Vice Chairs Mark Eyking and Andr Bellavance for their re-election.
He says he looks forward to getting back to work on the committee.
Miller says they need to complete a competitiveness report and address important challenges facing the hog and beef industries as well as the entire agriculture sector.
Miller is the 42nd person to Chair the Agriculture Committee and is the 23rd Chair from Ontario and the third MP from Bruce County to sit as Chair.
