The next provincial election won’t happen until next year, but the Progressive Conservatives are ready now.
Local Conservative party member Doug Freiburger says the recent annual meeting of the party held in Ottawa last weekend convinced many that the time is right to return the Conservatives to power in Ontario.
Freiburger says the party will do whatever it can to promote responsible, practical and affordable ideas and by doing that and committing to job creation and lower taxes, the Conservatives believe they can return Ontario to a “have” province rather than a “have not.”
Freiburger — the Deputy Mayor in Saugeen Shores — says he hasn’t even thought about letting his name stand for the Conservative nomination in Huron Bruce riding.
But Freiburger says no matter who the person chosen is, he hopes the candidate will realize that the needs of the urban and rural worlds need to be addressed in this riding.
