Chatsworth officials looking for someone to tear down the old Williamsford Community Centre.
Mayor Howard Greig says its the first step in the process towards building a new arena and curling club thanks to half a million dollars in infrastructure money.
The close to 60 year old building has been deemed structurally inadequate for the snow load it would receive in the winter.
Tenders for the demolition and removal of the building will be accepted until the middle of March.
Part of the building will be saved..including the mechanical and storage rooms.
As for the construction of the new facility — Greig says that should go to tender in the next month or so.
