The Bruce Grey Catholic School Board is using technology to open wide the gates of communication with the public.
Officials have revamped their website so parents can keep close tabs on whats happening in the schools, the school board and the world of education.
The website includes individual school calendars, newsletters, upcoming events, curriculum information, school board meeting highlights and new board initiatives.
Media releases, annual reports, Ministry of Education news and notifications are also posted.
Community Relations Coordinator Doreen Rogers says the Catholic Board is using the website as communication tool to better interact with the public.
She says the website also invites public feedback to engage the community in Board policy and plans.
Rogers says its just one of the ways the board is trying to keep current with todays needs.
In fact she says the School Board is also exploring other forms of social media such as Twitter and Facebook.
Rogers says it’s all about taking advantage of technology and the opportunities it creates.
