Collingwood’s hospital is declaring the Norwalk Virus outbreak is over.
The first floor inpatient area known as the Medical Unit is now open to visitors.
But restrictions are still in place.
Each patient can only have one visitor between 1 and 8 PM.
No one under 18 is allowed in the hospital.
And the hospital is asking those who are sick for any reason not to visit the hospital.
Chair of the Infection, Prevention and Control Committee, Dr. Mark Quigg, says the ongoing visiting restrictions will help prevent the spread of the virus to other patients including newborns and delivering moms.
A total of 14 people were sick with the virus and were in isolation at the hospital.
