The snow and blowing snow is causing all sorts of problems as far as driving is concerned in the Collingwood, Thornbury and Wasaga Beach area.
In fact, Collingwood OPP are asking people to stay off area roads unless absolutely necessary because of the poor driving conditions.
Constable Martin Hachey says heavy snow is has resulted in very poor visibility and extremely slippery conditions making for very dangerous driving conditions.
He says this is a good day to probably remain indoors.
Hachey says if you do have to go out, them make sure you clean off your entire car, not just the windshield and lights and turn on your vehicle lights.
He says the daytime running light system only activates your headlights, not your park lights on the back of the car.
Hachey also has some advice for anyone out walking in this snow.
He says If you are a pedestrian, be extremely careful on days like these because motorists may not see you given the low visibility and snow/ice on the windshield.
