The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is just beginning to scratch the surface of the 2010 budget.
Council’s first budget meeting was held last Friday and Mayor Gwen Gilbert says at this point they have only reviewed work plans of the departments.
Gilbert says the next budget meeting is coming up on March 1st at 8:30 AM.
She says there are no preliminary tax rates available yet.
There are several large projects to be included in this year’s budget.
They include the Bluewater Park development, the Sauble Beach sewers, construction of the Sunset Drive Road in Howdenvale and renovations to the Wiarton Community Centre.
It will also be a challenge for Tracey Neifer — the new Manager of Financial Services was appointed in November 2009.
