Officials with the Saugeen Shores Business Enterprise Centre are making sure no one is caught off guard when the harmonized sales tax takes effect this summer.
Centre Manager Jill Roote says they are holding four HST information sessions over the next three weeks.
The first two are on Tuesday, March 2nd in Southampton at the Old Town Hall; one at 2 PM the other at 6 PM.
Roote says pre-registration for all sessions is required.
She says a representative from the Canada Revenue Agency will be on hand to explain to small and medium business owners what the transition rules are and what dates they have to have certain things implemented by.
There is a session in Kincardine at the municipal office on Friday March 12th, and one in Lion’s Head Thursday, March 18th at the Northern Bruce Peninsula Municipal Building.
The blending of the GST with the PST to create the HST takes effect July 1st.
