Bruce Power has a date with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
Bruce spokesperson John Peevers says that meeting takes place today.
Peevers says they’re going to update the CNSC on what’s happening after it was learned that several workers had been exposed to alpha-radiation late last year.
Latest reports say 217 people are now being tested.
Peevers says they have received some initial reports back and although they are not final, the results suggest that radiation levels were well within safety limits and that’s what they’ll be telling the CNSC later today.
Peevers also says they’ll tell the CNSC that they’ve cleaned up the affected area in Bruce A Unit One and he says workers are now back to work in the area.
He says the workers returned to the job late last week.
