It’s Family Heritage Day at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre in Southampton.
Tomorrow will be a special day for everyone at the museum.
Program Coordinator for the museum, Nancy White says they’re looking for a lot of people to take advantage of the free event.
White says last year they had over 900 people take part between 10 AM and 4 PM and this year promises to be even better.
She says the event is free but they’re asking everyone to bring a non-perishable food item that can be donated to the food bank.
White says this year they have horse-drawn wagon rides, leather pouch making; even an opportunity to try on some snowshoes and walk around the area.
There will be children’s entertainer Dickie Bird who will have shows at 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM and of course there will be plenty to drink and eat.
The event is free but some of activities will cost a few dollars, such as the wagon rides and the leather pouch making.
