Some Owen Sound residents have no appetite for a 25 cent increase in garbage bag tag fees.
Owen Sound Council is considering that move during budget talks to raise about 44 thousand dollars in revenue.
However, callers to Bayshore Broadcasting News had a very simple message for Council.
Do not increase the price of garbage bag tags.
Several of the callers were seniors who stated they are now having a very difficult time making ends meet and they just cannot afford this increase on their fixed incomes.
Other callers were upset with the proposal, saying the City is just nickel and dimming people all the time.
