Those moving into the Brockton area will now have a one stop welcome booklet in their hands.
The Walkerton and District Chamber of Commerce is in the process of preparing a Brockton relocation guide to be published.
The magazine like publication is in part due to funding from the Federal Government’s Community Futures Rural Development Fund.
The guide is being done in partnership with the Municipality of Brockton, the Brockton Economic Development Committee and the Waqlkerton and Area Physician recruitment and retention committee.
Chamber spokesperson Christine Brant says this publication will replace alot of different publications and brochures — so it is a handy single source.
Brant says there us a lot of people who inquire every day about relocating to Brockton.
The guide will feature everything from names and contact numbers of churches, doctors and schools – to full glossy pictures of the area.
The guide will be available at local real estate offices, the chamber of commerce, the municipal offices and the physician retention committee will be able to take it to job fairs.
Brant said the guide will be ready by the end of March.
