Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch wanted his boss to see where he used to work.
So he brought Ontario Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak to Grey County Council on Tuesday.
Hudak and Murdoch — a former Warden of Grey County — popped in to the council meeting after first taking in Wiarton Willie’s prediction earlier in the day.
Hudak says he was happy to bring greetings from the PC caucus both to the Wiarton Willie Festival and to council.
He spent only a few minutes with council, and it was the party leader’s last local stop after a couple of days in Grey-Bruce.
He met on Monday with the Kincardine Chamber of Commerce.
He says he has been listening to Ontarians and their concerns regarding jobs, the economy and the new harmonized sales tax coming into effect later this year.
Regarding the HST, Hudak remains full of praise for Murdoch’s recent stand that saw him kicked out of the provincial legislature in protest of the new tax.
