Another chance for Owen Sound and area residents to check out plans for the New Regional Recreation Centre.
Another Public information meeting will be held at 7 PM Monday at the Bayshore Community Centre.
Chair of the Recreation Centre Committee Jim McManaman says since the last public meeting at the end of October, there have been several changes made to the plans of the complex.
He says they have held several so called micro meetings with some of the groups that will be using the facility to get their input into their needs and what should be changed to accommodate those needs.
McManaman says another issue that will be dealt with at tonight’s meeting is the impact the facility will have on traffic patterns in the area and the need for another entrance to Victoria Park.
He says the architect will be present to show the plans to the public and to answer any questions people may have.
As for actual construction, McManaman says the relocation of a water main and sewer will get under way in late February followed by work on the soil remediation of the site.
He is confident that once construction is underway, the facility can be completed by the deadline of the end of March 2011.
