Grey County OPP are now releasing the name of the woman killed in a crash between a car and an ambulance on Highway 6 in Chatsworth Township.
53 year old Jean Moelker of Hamilton died when she lost control of her car and spun into the path of the oncoming ambulance.
The crash happened around 8:30 AM Saturday just north of Dornoch, near Side Road 9B.
The Grey County Emergency Medical Services ambulance was on its way south in a routine patient transfer.
The patient onboard – an 88 year old Durham woman – received minimal injury in the collision.
The driver of the ambulance was shaken but did not sustain any serious
injury, while the attendent in the rear of the vehicle was not hurt.
Both the patient and the driver were taken to hospital in Durham for medical assessment.
Both the car and the ambulance were completely demolished.
Highway 6 was closed until just after 2 PM Saturday between Grey Road 25 and Side Road 9B.
