A big announcement coming from a catholic school in Collingwood.
St. Mary’s Catholic School is one of five Simcoe County catholic schools to be getting wind turbines.
The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board has received funding from the Ministry of Education as part of the Green School Pilot Program.
The turbines are to be installed in the spring at St. Mary’s in Collingwood along with St. Joan of Arc High School in Barrie, Our Lady of Mercy in Honey Harbour, St. Peter the Apostle in Parry Sound and Saint Mary Catholic School in Huntsville.
Project details will be announced at St. Mary’s in Collingwood on Friday.
