The proposed multi million dollar Bruce to Milton high voltage transmission line is closer than ever to the start of construction.
Hydro One spokesperson Danielle Gauvin says where approvals and permits are in place, construction could begin late next month .
Gauvin says there are about 350 affected landowners over the 180 kilometer stretch of the proposed line.
She says all landowners have been informed in writing of what the next steps are and advising them to inform their property agents what their final decisions will be for Hydro to purchase their land.
The menu is short.
Gauvin says the two choices are accepting the offer presented by Hydro One or expropriation.
She says they’ve heard back from close to two-thirds of the landowners while the remainder consider their options.
Gauvin says they plan to file their application to move ahead around February 26th and where the permits and approvals have been obtained and property rights granted, they hope to begin construction shortly thereafter.
