
Huron County OPP have charged a Wallaceburg man, for reportedly impersonating an officer.
Provincial police say they received reports in May of a person operating a sport utility vehicle which resemble a police vehicle.
According to reports, an officer was conducting patrols along Highway 21 in the Municipality of Bluewater, when they spotted an SUV resembling a police vehicle, despite no other officers known to be in the area.
OPP say the SUV was stopped, and the accused was dressed in clothing resembling a tactical officer, and several items were found inside the vehicle commonly used in policing.
A 33 year old has been charged with personating a peace officer, and will answer to the charge in Goderich court August 17th.
