The 53 members from the Sauble Christian Fellowship Church will be back in Grey Bruce tonight.
The group is taking the train from Montreal to Toronto at 4 PM and then a bus from Toronto back home.
The group — including South Bruce Peninsula Mayor Gwen Gilbert — just arrived on Canadian soil early this morning after a harrowing time in Haiti.
Sauble church member Kathy Hauer says all members arrived in Montreal’s Trudeau airport at 3:45 AM and they were staying in a hotel near the airport.
The group was working at its Mission of Hope orphanage when the magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit the country last Tuesday.
Following the destruction, members worked at a medical clinic assisting those who needed help.
Earlier reports said aside from some bumps and bruises, all 53 members are in good health.
