A number of local groups are collecting money for relief efforts in Haiti after this week’s earthquake.
You can donate to the Red Cross through their website at www.redcross.ca or by calling 1-800-418-1111.
You can also visit the Grey Bruce Red Cross branch in Owen Sound at the Nortown Plaza on 2nd Avenue East

There’s a group of residents from the Sauble Christian Fellowship Church that is working in Haiti.
They too are collecting money through the Sauble Beach church or online at the Mission of Hope website at www.missionofhopehaiti.com

The “Me to We” group at Sydenham School in Owen Sound is collecting as much money as possible for relief efforts in Haiti.
They are collecting change, as well as holding a bake sale at the school next Wednesday January 20th.

Secondary School
in Meaford has teamed with local businesses to raise funds for the relief effort.
Students are making, baking and taking chocolate chip cookies door to door.
As well as knocking on doors, students will be maning a booth at the front entrance of Bill’s Valumart in Meaford on Sunday January 17th.
100 per cent of the proceeds will go directly to the Haitian relief fund.
