Construction work is progressing well on the addition to the hospital in Walkerton.
Contractors have been on the job since late November removing old services and upgrading or relocating utility connections.
South Bruce-Grey Health Centre CEO Paul Davies believes the project is progressing according to schedule.
He notes many of the underground services have been installed.
Davies says as of this week — crews were digging out the basement.
He says the relatively good weather this winter has helped keep the project on track so far, and adds they’re keeping their fingers crossed.
Along with more space for the hospital, the addition will house the Brockton Family Health Team.
