The 120 unit apartment complex in the south end of Hanover currently known as Hallman Apartments is expanding.
It has been purchased by Rice Development Corporation.
Rice Development plans to build a new 30 unit, three storey apartment building on vacant land beside Hallman Apartments.
The new building will boast 72 hundred square feet per floor with eight, one- bedroom apartments and two, two-bedroom apartments per floor.
An additional 45 new parking spaces and a play area for toddlers will also be constructed.
Chief Building Official Don Tedford believes the new apartment building will cater to a good cross section of the community.
He says it will be a different style than the current apartment complex with all the modern conveniences.
The planning process is complete and the site plan should be finalized by Spring with a late Spring or early Summer construction start up.
