Collingwood will honour its own today at a reception at Georgian Manor Resort.
At the annual Mayor’s Levee, five new recipients of the Order of Collingwood will be named.
They five, Don Gallinger, Dr. Farel Anderson, Peter Coates, Ian Whitton and Ed Christie, will be named to the order.
Five current recipients will be named Companions to the Order.
They are: Fred Sproule, Gary Norman, former Mayor Ron Emo, Barbara Weider of Blue Mountain fame, and Sharon Goldsworthy.
The ceremony is being held at the Georgian Manor Resort from 1 PM until 3 PM this afternoon.
