2010 is going to be an exciting year for Brockton.
The Mayor of Brockton is very eager to welcome in the new year.
Mayor Charlie Bagnato says there will no shortage of building activity in Brockton in 2010.
He says the Walkerton Clean Water Center will open its doors this May, and construction will begin this year on the OPP’s new home in the East Ridge Business Park.
There is also five major residential and seniors development projects planned for 2010.
Even with this flurry of building activity, Bagnato says 2010 will not come without its challenges.
He says making sure the economy doesn’t hurt their downtown and keeping the taxes low are top priorities for council.
Bagnato says seniors housing development is another key priority to ensure seniors to don’t leave town due to lack of accommodations.
As for his own personal new year’s resolution, Bagnato say he plans to continue to do the best job he can for ratepayers.
