The Alzheimer Society of Grey Bruce is looking for help.
The annual mail campaign — where residents are asked to make a donation — has been ongoing for months.
And the group is also preparing for its annual Walk for Memories this month.
Executive Director Deborah Barker says the need for help is greater than ever as more and more people use their programs.
About seven thousand residents in Grey Bruce suffer from Alzheimer’s or some sort of memory loss — some not yet diagnosed.
Barker notes their programs help council and educate not just victims of the disease — but family members and spouses.
She adds the program also lets people know they are not alone in dealing with the challenges that come with memory loss.
Barker says less than 45 per cent of their annual budget comes from government or other outside sources.
Last year’s mail campaign generated 21 thousand dollars and Barker hopes to surpass that number.
