The Owen Sound Little Theatre has a new manager.
Barbara Jones — originally from Wiarton — has over 25 years media experience from print to television to radio.
Barbara moved to Owen Sound from Toronto a little over a year ago with her spouse and has just recently settled into her new part time position.
Jones says she enjoys the job with the theatre and sees the position as an opportunity to get to know people in the local arts community.
Jones says the theatre group works hand in hand to promote area culture.
She adds the Roxy Theatre is a venue she hopes will incorporate new organizations that have perhaps never used the theatre before.
The OSLT has recently undergone some significant changes – and Jones’ hiring is one of the alterations to the group.
The group celebrates their 50th anniversary season in 2010 — and Jones says there are some plans in the works.
