Plans to redevelop the Kincardine hospital are moving along.
A report recommending how to go about modernizing the facility was completed by the South Bruce Grey Health Centre earlier this month.
Vice President of Corporate Services Walter Yewchyn says the South West LHIN board will review the report based on what is needed in the community.
Then he says it will be considered for inclusion in the Ministry of Health’s five year capital plan.
At a meeting held in June, details were released calling for core services at the hospital to be maintained, and for the facility to be connected with the medical centre on the same property.
South Bruce-Grey Board member Barry Schmidt represents Kincardine and hopes residents get behind the redevelopment plan.
Schmidt hopes the community can work together to make the redevelopment project happen.
