Kincardine’s summer Farmer’s Market has grown since it started with five permanent vendors in 2005.
Spokesperson Janice McKean says it has since grown to eight vendors who show up to sell their wares from 9 AM until Noon each Saturday from the Victoria Day weekend until Thanksgiving.
However, McKean says they want to end the confusion about when the market takes place and where.
She says many people get the Saturday Market at Connaught Park by Lake Huron confused with the Monday Flea Market that takes place in Victoria Park.
McKean says the vendors want the community to be more aware of the market because there is still confusion about its location.
She says they also want council to consider putting up some signage directing people to the market at Connaught Park.
McKean says permanent vendors include local people selling fresh beef, fruits and vegetables, organic chicken, honey, and native plants and fertilizers.
She notes several other vendors sometimes sell their products at the market as well.
