Work continues to progress on the new fire hall in Lucknow.
Huron-Kinloss Mayor Mitch Twolan says the roof is on the building, it is all framed, and with winter weather now here, workers want to get it covered so they can start the inside work.
Twolan says they hope to open the new fire hall on April 1, 2010.
Water main work will also have to be done on Campbell Street in order to connect the building with the system.
Twolan says how fast it gets done depends on who gets the tender, noting that the Public Works Department is hoping it happens sooner than later.
A deadline to finish the water main work has been set for February 26th.
