News Release from the OPP
Road Conditions Worsening
Grey County OPP is advising the motoring public to stay off area roads where possible.
Patrolling officers report that blowing snow has caused intermittent whiteout conditions with near zero visibility at times.
Currently the mid to south end of Grey County, including Highways 6 and 10, seems to be experiencing the worst weather; it seems to be closing in further north.
While no roads are currently closed officers are continuing to evaluate conditions and may close roads if the level of visibility deteriorates much more.
Again, it’s urged that motorists avoid travel unless essential and consider that darkness will fall shortly.
When on the roads use your vehicle lights and reduce speed for the conditions.
