The last of 25 H-1-N-1 clinics in Grey Bruce has been cancelled.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit has cancelled its H1N1 and seasonal flu clinic at the Chesley Community Centre tonight.
The public health unit held a similar clinic in Owen Sound yesterday and more than 12 hundred residents took advantage of it.
Our Medical Officer of Health Doctor Hazel Lynn reports there are absolutely no cases of H1N1 in the region.
She credits their vaccination program as about 40 thousand residents received the H1N1 shot.
There were concerns two Grey Bruce residents died of H1N1 at the end of November.
But Doctor Lynn says both residents had significant cases of pneumonia that likely caused their deaths.
She also notes only one of them tested positive for H1N1.
As for another peak of H1N1 cases — Doctor Lynn hopes there will not be a spike.
But she notes they need 80 per cent of people to be immune — either by having recovered from the disease or through vaccination.
