The head of the Bruce Grey Catholic School Board will remain the same. Norm Bethune has been acclaimed Board Chair.
The 12 year trustee calls it humbling and an honour to have the full support of his fellow trustees to remain as Chair.
Bethune is confident that staff and trustees will continue to pull together to put students first over the upcoming year.
He says student achievement remains the Catholic Board’s top priority.
Over his last dozen years on the Catholic Board, Bethune says the role and work load of trustees has continued to expand.
But Bethune says he enjoys the challenge and calls it a rewarding experience.
Before becoming a trustee — Bethune served as an educator for 35 years, 32 of those years were served as principal.
Bethune will set out his goals and visions for the upcoming year at the January Catholic Board meeting.
Bev Eckensweiler was also acclaimed for her second term as vice chair.
