Bayshore Broadcasting has been recognized by the Community Foundation Grey Bruce for promoting environmental awareness.
At a presentation ceremony last night — Bayshore was singled out among the Foundation’s many sponsors for partnering on environmental forums over the past two years.
Foundation Director Linda Thorne says they are pleased Bayshore also helped create an environmental award named for local conservationist Malcolm Kirk.
Three long time members of the Foundation were also recognized at the ceremony for their service.
Jan Chamberlain has served the board almost since its inception in the 1990’s.
Also retiring are past Chair Fred Furness and Verona Jackson.
Representatives of various local funds held within the Community Foundation Grey Bruce got an update on the economy and the performance of the fund.
It is now valued at nearly four million dollars.
